Ohio is home to many terrific hunting locations. With a lot of water sources, you are going to find all sorts of wildlife everywhere you go, but as with all things, hunting can be dangerous, which one of the reasons that it is so tightly restricted. While it might be a good place to hunt right off of your friend's porch, it might not be legal, so it's essential that you understand what places are not only ideal hunting locations, but are also certified hunting locations.
The good news is that when you are looking for a great Ohio hunting spot, you are going to find them all over the state.
Northeastern Ohio Wildlife Sites
In this part of Ohio, you are going to come across many hunting grounds only a short drive from where you live. So, head out to Auburn Marsh Wildlife Area for public hunting & fishing on four hundred sixty-two acres of woods, brush or grasslands. 
Or, you may want to take into account The Dorset Wildlife Area. You'll find that these 1080 acres are ideal for hunting & fishing of any kind and it features a nice combination of woodlands, grasslands, open area and marshlands, so you can enjoy a wide variety of game for hunting.
Northwestern Ohio Wildlife Areas
If you're doing some northwestern Ohio hunting and are looking for a fantastic place, you may want to think about trying out some of these spots for your next hunting trip. Think about Killdeer Plains Wildlife area which features over 9,000 acres for your hunting pleasure. It's a combination of grasslands and cropland, with a nice balance of woods and water to give you the wide open hunting experience you long for.
Central Ohio Wildlife Spots
Central Ohio hunting might not be as widespread as in other parts of the state, but you are still going to discover some great wildlife spots in that area. Southeastern Ohio Wildlife Spots
Southeastern Ohio boasts spots for hunting that will offer you a lot of different sorts of game, so whether you like to hunt the small game or you're searching for that big buck, you need to check out this part of the state. The Dillon Wildlife site will offer miles of natural space so that you can hunt without feeling as if you are on top of other people & competing for the game. You'll discover that this area has land that is good for hunting any sort of game & with 3 separate sections; you should definitely bring a map.
Southwestern Ohio Wildlife Sites
Last, but certainly not least is the southwestern area of the state. Here, as is the case all through Ohio, hunting can be done from a lot of different areas, but you may want to check out the Darke Wildlife Area. It only has three hundred sixteen acres, which is small compared to some of the larger wildlife areas, but it is rich in grasses, brush and water, which makes it perfect for hunting smaller game.
No matter where you decide to go hunting in Ohio, you are sure to find some great nature filled areas that have loads of the game you are looking for.
